My Academy Awards 2015 Red Carpet Best Dressed Picks

I loved watching the Oscars on Sunday night, as I do every year. I, obviously, watched the red carpet before hand and chose my top favorite looks. Here they are!

Zoe Saldana

This dress is super faltering and a nice graceful champagne color. Hair and makeup are good too.

Sienna Miller
I really like how classy and timeless this dress is, but it still has modern details. Her hair and makeup look is one of my favorites!

Rosamund Pike
I really like the red, rose-like dress with the effortless hair and makeup.  She makes the list!

Rene Russo
Rene Russo looks amazing in white! The relaxed hair and edgy accessories keeps it from looking bridal. I just found out she'd 61! HOW?!

 Oprah Winfrey
Speaking of being 61 and looking amazing......

 Octavia Spencer
So dreamy! I love the beaded train. Very whimsical.

Meryl Streep
She's Meryl Streep.

Melanie Griffith
 Nice. Flattering. Simple. Love it!

 Laura Dern
DERN IT, SHE LOOKS GOOD! HAHAHAHA! (I'm sorry)

Kelly Ripa
Classy and amazing! I love the messy bob.

Julianne Moore
She was my pick for best actress and she looks so beautiful. Also one of the best hair and make up looks of the night.

 Jennifer Aniston
She was glowing, and sparkling, and wonderful!

Jamie Chung
So pretty!

Gwyneth Palrow
I personally love the shoulder rose. I think she look very elegant.

Jennifer Hudson
Jennifer Hudson is my Beyonce! She is flawless!

Cate Blanchett
She was my top pick for last year, and she was very close this year. But she was just beat out by..................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Emma Stone
Emma Stone! The chartreuse/gold color. The lost elegant sleeves. The side swept, old Hollywood hair. Just.....it's all so good!

So those were my top picks. I hope you've enjoyed!

OOTD: Mary Dress

Dress: Gift
Cardigan: Second-hand
Leggings: Garage sale $2
Boots: Thrift store $10

First off, this dress is one of the best Christmas gifts ever! I got it from my sister, Cassie, who ordered it from Arts Cow, so it's one of a kind. I love it so much! I get lots of complements on it form my fellow Catholic women. I almost feel guilty wearing it because, when someone asks where I got it, I can't just be like 'Go to this store and you can get one just like it!'. But not guilty enough to stop wearing it. And for the rest of my outfit, I'm wearing my usual cardigan, tights/legging, and boots. I wear a version of this outfit all the time. I just love boots and dresses in the winter! It's warm, comfy, and cute.
Thanks for reading!

OOTD: Olive and Grey Maxi Dress

Maxi Dress: Designed and made by me, with Walmart fabric. $7ish
Boots: Charlotte Russe. $14
Earrings: DIYed
Tights: Walmart. Gift

I've finally worn a maxi dress in the winter! I've been wanting to pull off this trend for a while, and I finally had a good idea for a winter maxi dress design. I love making my own maxi dresses/skirts because I like them really long, like dragging on the ground long, and I'm just under 5'10" so those don't really exist out in the world (at least I have not come across one). If you are wondering why the photo quality is higher than usually, it's because I had my little brother, Duncan, take them for me. You can find more of his work on his Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/duncansphotography
