OOTD: Runway Chill

T-shirt: Goodwill, $3
Skirt: DIYed, $5 Tutorial (click here)
Cardigan: Eddie Bauer secondhand
Sandals: Walmart, $10

When I saw this Tee at the thrift store, I just thought it was so cute, with the little bug eyed fashion people. This skirt is super comfortable, and I think maxi skirts with graphic tees, is a really cool chill look for this summer. I will/have been definitely rocking that look. Thanks for reading, and have a great day!-Zoe

DIY: Business Card Pouch

The first thing I did was make a pattern that looks like a tall house. The dimensions will be different for different sized business cards.
For my pouch I used a scrap of printed fabric (this is a great project for using up old scraps), an old mustard yellow shirt, and some lace.
Using your pattern, cut two pieces of fabric. One for the inside and one for the outside.

Next I sewed on the lace. You can skip the lace, or add a different detail, if you want.

Then I pined the two pattern pieces down, right sides together, and sewed around the sides, leaving the bottom open for turning. (Tip: Make sure you back stitch)

Next I trimmed the corners, so that when I turn them they'll be pointed.
After I turned the whole thing right side out, I ironed it flat.

I also ironed the opening so that the raw edges were facing inward.

Next I sewed the opening closed with a top stitch.

Then pined like so....
......and sewed a top stitch around the rest of it.
And thats it! You can use this pouch for business cards, or as a wallet. I made one for my sister that she uses for her ipod and ear-buds. I hope this tutorial helped you out in some way. Leave a comment telling me what you think. Have a great day!
